Your Opinion On... Patterned Leggings

Patterned leggings are supposed to be huge this coming fall and winter season. I have seen everything from leopard, zebra, and snakeskin to lace to florals and to tie dye even some abstract and psychedelic patterns. We also have a wide array of textures to choose from for leggings, including leather, velvet, denim, and sequins. Today, ShopBop.com even sent out an email with three different outfits with printed leggings (see above). Be sure to keep the rest of your outfit relatively simple and natural - a flowy top in a solid color with an interesting layering piece (think a fur vest, denim jacket, layered belts, etc). Leggings work great with an array of footwear - flats, heels, boots of any height, or even a pair of high top sneakers!

I like the more simple patterned leggings (lace, tie dye, and burnout) but might venture so far as to try leopard or zebra patterns as well. I love all the textures, especially leather! I also love all the leather-look-a-like options available.

What is your opinion on patterned leggings?

Pictured above, from left to right, are the Diane Von Furstenburg Printed Leggings ($118), the So Low Burnout Jersey Leggings ($57), and the Marc by Marc Jacobs Marc Doodle Leggings ($68), all available at ShopBop.com.

And now for a few sale options!

UrbanOutfitters.com has a great selection of leggings from patterned to plain. Check out these Burnout Leggings by BDG, on sale from $32 to just $9.99!

These Sequins Leggings are exclusive to RevolveClothing.com by Costume Dept. and are on sale from $77 to $39 and available in sizes XS, S, and M. I wish they came in silver and charcoal!

The Banana Leaf Leggings by Nightcap are on sale at Reverse-Reverse.com for $39 instead of $110 and are still available in all sizes.

Your Opinion On... Hippie Headbands

Bohemian style is on the rise, and headbands have become very trendy very quickly. At first, I hated the idea, but it has since grown on me. I'm not sure I could pull it off though because of my bangs! What do you think of the look?

The aptly named Hippe Chic Headband by Rachel Leigh is available at ShopBop.com. Black is still regular priced at $66, but chocolate (above) and plum are on sale for $46.20. Be sure to check out FreePeople.com if you like headbands like these!

True Religion Swimwear

True Religion seems to make everything in denim! Just yesterday, I posted about True Religion sneakers that are reminiscent of Converse's Chuck Taylors. Now True Religion even has denim bikinis! Many have the signature horseshoe logo on each breast, and all have signature stitching and rivets.

What do you think? I have to say I am not a huge fan, I prefer a more simple bathing suit. I would wear the one below, but not the one above!

Your Opinion On... Denim Vests

What do you think about Denim Vests?

I like them! Sienna Miller looks great in her denim vest, full skirt, and cowboy boots above. Very girly, yet still very relaxed. I would love to wear a denim vest with a super feminine floral dress for maximum juxtaposition. However, I doubt I would ever wear a double denim outfit with a vest involved... How about you?

Your Opinion On... Denim Dresses Results

Seems like most readers are enjoying the denim dress trend!

This work of art is by Gary Harvey and made out of 41 pairs of Levi 501 jeans. It is beautiful, and very inspiring! I would love to have a dress like this, and I think I could pull it off...

Your Opinion On... Denim Dresses

So what do you think of the new spring denim trend of denim dresses? Personally, I love them!

This Marylin Dress by Miss Sixty is on sale at DJPremium.com from $199 to $144.

ShopBop.com is featuring this Kova & T Mimi Sleeveless Mini Dress for $137.50 instead of $275. I love this light denim wash for summer!

Find this Oh Why Dress in Vintage Blue by Insight at RevolveClothing.com for $54 instead of $77.

I really like this Zip Up Dress with Rib Detail by Charlotte Ronson, on sale for $75 instead of $264 at DJPremium.com. I love the bomber jacket inspired details in this dress, and the black denim is a unique twist!

So what do you think? Love 'em or hate 'em - vote away!

Your Opinion On... Favorite Denim Fit

There are so many different fits in the denim world, it is hard to make a list! Bootcut, flare, skinny, slouchy skinny, boyfriend, wide leg, trouser, high waist - and lets not even get started on the varieties of shorts!

So which is YOUR favorite?

My favorite is the skinny jean. I love my skinnies! They look cute with ballet shoes, gladiator sandals, boots of all heights, and sneakers too. I will admit that I do fall back on my True Religion Joey Jeans (bootcut) when I am having one of those days where I feel that nothing looks good. The bootcut is for sure universally flattering!

Your Opinion On... Spring Denim Trend Results

Our spring denim trend poll asked for your favorite new denim look: white denim, acid washed, tie dyed, boyfriend, or destroyed. Destroyed denim won with 2/3 votes, and white denim came in second place with 1/3 votes. Why not combine most of the above looks in one jean with J Brand's 12" Pencil Leg Acid Wash Ripped Jeans in Thrasher! Perfectly destroyed, and so acid washed that they are almost white, I just love these jeans! Check out J Brand's whole spring line at ShopBop.com - they feature every new look you could ask for, and more! These are available at ShopBop.com for $218, and are modeled with the Heidi Suede Fringe Vest by Torn by Ronny Kobo and the Camilla Skovgaard Zaha Open Toe Booties. Tres chic!

Happy Shopping!

Your Opinion On... Best Spring Denim Trend

We have seen so many new denim trends already in 2009. Boyfriend jeans have been huge with the celebrities, most wearing their jeans rolled up to a mid calf length. These jeans are cute and comfortable all at once, making for an effortless chic go-to item for any occasion. White denim has also been very popular so far this season for its elegant yet summery appeal. Of course, we also have the acid washed and tie dyed denim for when we want a more grungy look! The destroyed denim trend is by far the most wide-reaching trend of the season. We have seen destroyed white denim, shredded acid washed jeans, ripped boyfriend jeans, and tattered skinny jeans. The destroyed look is by far my favorite of the season - I love the versatility it offers.

So what do you think? Which looks do you love and which do you hate? What do you already have for the summer, and what are you just dying to buy? I can't wait to get my hands on a pair of skinny white destroyed jeans - and I think Siwy will be my best bet.

Your Opinion On... Acid Washed Denim

So what do you think about the return of acid washed denim? This season we have been seeing acid washed jeans, shorts, skirts - even jackets and vests in every color from original blue to black, grey, red, purple, and every color in between. Even if you can't get the premium acid washed jeans, there are plenty of DIY acid wash guides available online.

Do you like it, or do you wish the trend had stayed in the 80's?

I am a big fan of this seasons grunge influenced denim trends including rips, shreds, and acid washed. I don't currently own a pair, but I think some acid washed denim shorts would be great for the summer.

These cute Mineral Wash Natural Denim Shorts are only $32 at AmericanApparel.net. I might have to pick up a pair! Also available in red, purple, and blue.

Your Opinion On... Denim Favorites

What is your favorite brand of premium denim, and why?

My favorite is Diesel because I love their style, fit, and washes. Diesel will have great new ideas for jeans every season without loosing touch with their classic denim roots. My second favorite brand is True Religion because they have such a flattering cut. I wish I could afford more!

Your Opinion On... Studded Fashion

Rocker inspired studs have been everywhere in fashion this year - handbags, shoes, bracelets, jeans, blazers, and more! Designers are loving this trend - note the gorgeous Rebecca Minkoff handbag shown above - and are charging a pretty penny for all the extra hardware.

Personally, I am loving this trend! I especially love handbags, belts, and bracelets with studs. I have a cute pair of gladiator sandals with studs, and I really want a pair of black ankle boots with studs on the cuff. Mmm!

Another great aspect of this trend is that you can totally do it yourself! Give an old bag, belt, or pair of jeans a total make-over just by adding some studs! Check out this great how-to guide at Mason Des Reveries, inspired by Balmain's studded blazer. This will for sure be my next art project!

So, what do you think? Love 'em or hate 'em? Vote away!

Your Opinion On... Tie Dyed Denim Results

It seems like most people like the tie dyed denim trend! 33% of voters chose "hate 'em" but the rest of our voters like them. As I said before - its growing on me and its just a matter of time before I own a pair! I'll wait until i find them on sale though!

Your Opinion On... Tie Dyed Denim

Another upcoming denim trend is supposedly tie dyed denim. I am torn on this trend. I do like all of the above jeans and shorts, but I don't like when the contrast in the tie dye is too high (aka too dark of a wash). I do like the shorts especially, because they are quite literally a smaller dose of the trend. What do you think? Vote away!

The top jeans are J Brand's 12" Pencil Leg Ripped Tie Dye Skinny Jean in Zombie, available at Singer22.com for $218. The Siwy Camila Shorts in Superstition are available for $158 at BlueHeavenBoutique.com. The bottom jeans are Diesel's Cuddy Super Slim in 008UZ available for $300 at Diesel.com. Use code "SPRINGBREAK" for free shipping on orders over $90 at Diesel.com.

Your Opinion On... Boyfriend Shorts Results

75% of our voters this week only like the feminine boyfriend shorts, while one voter loves 'em all! I am looking forward to a pair, that is for sure. I keep hoping for a cute vintage pair at Goodwill that I can cut, trim, and shred to my own liking! Levis would be ideal, I think!

Your Opinion On... Boyfriend Shorts

One of the hot new looks for summer is supposed to be the Boyfriend Short. What do you think about this trend? I like it, but I am particular about it. I like all of the above shorts - they are still cute and feminine and form fitting - but I am not a fan of the PRPS shorts on the left. I find they are too long, baggy, and ill fitting. I'm sure they are comfortable, but I would wear a flowing skirt or dress if I wanted to wear something that loose!

What do you think? Voting is on the right!

Your Opinion On.... Baggy Seat Jeans

Looks like nobody here likes the MC Hammer trend in denim right now! Only one vote for "not sure," everyone else chose "hate 'em!" I do like the slouchy skinny, but this it taking it too far!

Above jeans are by Ksubi.

Your Opinion On.... Baggy Seat Jeans

Now, I do love the roomy ex-boyfriend jeans, but who wants MC Hammer pants?

I am not a fan of this new denim trend! Tons of designers, like Miss Sixty above, have been extending the seats and crotches of their jeans for a baggy look in the hip area. I don't know what look they are going for, but I think it makes you look like a baby with a full diaper!

What do you think about this trend?

Your Opinion On.... Destroyed Denim

So I just got my new pair of Diesel Lowkys in RD8 from SmashBoutique.com in the mail today, and I love love love them! I am very particular about my destroyed denim - I like the abrasions to look real and casual, not contrived or overdone. I also really don't like when companies combine the dirty and destroyed looks - brown rips are not attractive to me! But I do like rips with paint splatters. On the whole though - I love destroyed denim! What do you think?

The above jeans are the Hannah Cropped Skinny by Siwy, which will be available in March at ShopBop.com. I can't wait until these come out, I want them so bad!

Runway Trend - Jumpsuits

So what do you think about the Jumpsuits that have been all over runways and magazines? I did not like them last year, and this year they are a little better, but I still don't think I like them for me. Why wear a jumper when you can wear a dress? It just seems so much classier and more practical. What do you think? Love 'em or hate 'em?

Out of the above jumpers, my favorite is probably the black tank top with long legs. All of the above, and more, are available at shopbop.com.
